There are two free tutoring services provided by UNCC, one by the Mathematics Learning Center (MLC) and one by University Center for Academic Excellence.

The Mathematics Learning Center (MLC) provides tutoring for MATH1100, MATH1103, MATH1120, MATH1241, MATH1242, MATH2164, MATH2171, STAT1220, and STAT1222. Students from other math/stat classes should see your instructors during their office hours for help. The Spring 2019 hours are listed below; all sessions are held in FRET 330.

Monday - Thursday: 11:00 am – 7:00 pm

Friday: 11:00 am – 3:00 pm

First day: Thursday, January 10

Last day: Wednesday, May 1

Days closed:

January 21: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day

March 4 - 8: Spring Recess

April 19: Spring Weekend

 

An additional tutoring service is provided for students in MATH0900, MATH1102 and MATH1105 in Fretwell 418.   Hours can be found posted at the front of the Math department and also the MLC.

 

Tutoring provided by University Center for Academic Excellence (UCAE)

University Center for Academic Excellence offers both one-on-one (appointment only) tutoring and drop-in tutoring. The hours of its drop-in tutoring service and courses covered are here.

Private tutoring

The department also maintains a list of private tutors, however, these private tutors are not regulated nor supervised by the math department. The math department does not assume any responsibility for what happens between a private tutor and a student.
