Carolinas Women in Mathematics Symposium

September 7, 2017

CWIMS is a one-day conference for Carolina mathematicians being held September 16, 2017 at UNC Charlotte. The goal of CWIMS is to strengthen the network of female mathematicians in North and South Carolina, which will encourage collaborations and mentoring relationships.

In addition, participants have the opportunity to:

  • Learn about the research of other women in the Carolinas
  • Present their work in a supportive environment
  • Network with other Texas women mathematicians
  • Explore issues surrounding being a woman in mathematics

The conference consists of parallel talk sessions, a breakout session, a poster session, an optional open problem session, and a keynote address.

Lunch and a social hour will be provided to all registered participants.
