Assistant Professor in Mathematics
Tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level in Mathematics beginning in August 2009. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in mathematics or related field, demonstrated strength in research, and an ability to teach in a diverse environment. Desired is a researcher in computational multiscale modeling to complement the existing strengths of the research group in computational mathematics and analysis. Preference will be given to applicants with strong interdisciplinary research experience and potential for external funding.

Visiting Assistant Professorship (not currently available due to budget restrictions)
Each year the department appoints up to three Visiting Assistant Professors for a one-year term in mathematics and statistics beginning August 15 and ending May 15. Applicants must have a Ph.D., teaching experience and outstanding promise in an area of research compatible with the interests of the department.
