The department of Mathematics and Statistics at Charlotte offers a variety of undergraduate majors leading to the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in mathematics. The department also offers two master’s programs in mathematics and mathematical finance, as well as offers two doctoral programs with concentrations in applied mathematics and statistics.
With more than 60 full-time faculty and staff members, the Department of Mathematics and Statistics is proud to have faculty with a wide range of research interests in fields of pure mathematics such as algebra, analysis, and topology, as well as in fields of applied mathematics such as computational mathematics, mathematical physics, partial differential equations, and statistics. Mathematics Education is also a strong component of the department.
